Quabbin Wire's Industrial Ethernet Product Line Now Offers Three Cable Jacket Options
August 29, 2007 - Quabbin's IE cable product line now offers three different jacketing options, each providing different mechanical and electrical properties. This allows balancing cable characteristics for the most cost-effective solution for each installation.
Low Smoke Zero Halogen Patch Cables for European and
North American Applications
February 19, 2007 - Quabbin
Wire has developed a low smoke zero halogen jacketing material for their
stranded local area network (LAN) patch cables. These cables, insulated with
polyolefin and jacketed with this new LSZH compound, exceed various TIA, UL,
CSA, and European specification requirements.
Recycling Efforts Applauded
January 26, 2009 - Quabbin Wire's employees enthusiastically participated in an ongoing effort to recycle as many items as possible last year. They were extremely successful.
New 600V-Trol TM Cables Typically Provide 60% Space Saving
August
28, 2006 - Quabbin Wire's 600V-Trol TM cables provide significant cost
and space saving for interconnection of industrial control and
instrumentation systems. The cables are rated 105 degrees C with a UL
Style 2586 appliance wire listing (AWM), and are also RoHS compliant.
DataMax® 10Gig Shielded or Unshielded Cable Minimizes Alien Crosstalk Noise
July
15, 2006 - Quabbin Wire's next-generation patch cable, DataMax® 10Gig,
minimizes Alien Crosstalk (AXT) in Category 6A channels. AXT is the
critical noise that must be controlled to successfully implement
10GBase-T Ethernet on copper networks.
Quabbin Wire Introduces DataMax® Extreme IE Cable
June
19, 2006 - Quabbin Wire & Cable Co., Inc. announces the development
of durable jacketed cables for manufacturing tough, reliable Industrial
Ethernet patch cords. These cords exceed the NEXT and RL electrical
requirements for Category 5e and 6 and offer outstanding mechanical
attributes.
Patch Cord Testing Project Proves Most Cords Fail
May
20, 2003 - Quabbin Wire & Cable Co., Inc. announces the completion
of an extensive evaluation of Category 5e and 6 LAN patch cords. Open
market cords purchased from distributors, assemblers, catalog houses
and retail, were tested to the full cord requirements as defined by the
TIA.
New DataMax® 6 Horizontal Cable Provides Cost Saving and Category 6 Performance
June
4, 2002 - Quabbin Wire & Cable introduces a new cost saving
horizontal cable that complies with TIA/EIA 568-B.2-1 standard for
Category 6. The cable is less expensive, has smaller diameter, is more
flexible, easy to install, and does not use a spline or other pair
separator.
Breakthrough DataMax® 6 Patch Cable Introduced
February
2, 2002 - Quabbin Wire & Cable is now producing a stranded patch
cable specifically designed and electrically tuned for use with the
very best Category 6 hardware and horizontal cable systems. Cords
assembled with this cable produce positive ACR (Attenuation to
Crosstalk Ratio) channel performance at frequencies that often exceed
375 MHz.
Quabbin Introduces Jacketed DS-3 Multi-Coaxial Bundled Cable
November
1, 2001 - Quabbin Wire introduces bundled and jacketed groups of DS-3
cables, containing up to 24 individual Type 735A coaxial components.
Each coax is capable of transmitting 672 channels with a bandwidth of
44.7 MHz for use within ISP facilities, cellular antenna, complex
wide-area-networks, and Telco central offices.
T-1 Install Cable for Use At and Beyond the Premise Demarc
September
28, 2001 - Quabbin introduces DataMax® T Line cable for true T-1
signaling in the "last mile" of a commercial T-1 installation.
Installers and end-users may confidently extend T-1 transmission and
signaling from the local Telco to customer's CSU/DSU devices.
DataMax® 5e Screened Patch Cables Meet Category 5e Requirements
August
30, 2001 - With Quabbin's screened (shielded) patch cable, it is now
possible to build an end-to-end shielded LAN compliant with TIA/EIA
568B and European requirements.
Quabbin Introduces Type 735A Coaxial Cable Family Designed for DS-3 (T-3) Multiplexing
November
8, 2000 - Quabbin Wire & Cable Co., Inc. has introduced a family of
double shielded Type 735A coaxial cables designed for efficient DS-3
digital signaling. The explosive growth of Internet connections,
complex wide area networks and exponentially increasing data streams
through telco infrastructure has created huge demand for these cables.
Quabbin Introduces Top Performing Patch Cable
February 10, 1999 - Quabbin Wire & Cable, North America's largest patch cable manufacturer, has
introduced a new patch cable that exceeds proposed TIA/EIA 568A standards for
Category 6 performance.
